News & Updates, April 26th, 2017
Hello fellow Rotarians and friends of Madison Rotary After Hours,

It's YPWeek and time to enjoy one of the many great opportunities organized for you to network in Madison and have fun!  If you haven't been able to join the festivities there is still time to sign up for two of the events our club co-sponsored, Rock the River on April 27 and/or enjoy Burnout Brunch and a recap of YPWeek at Hotel Red this Saturday after Crazylegs.

Have a great week!

Thursday, April 27 – YPWeek:  Rock the River

Join us on April 27th when we "Rock the River" at the River Food Pantry! This will be a great evening of entertainment and education to bring awareness to hunger and homelessness in the Madison community. You will learn what can be done to help in our community with the significant challenges of hunger and homelessness. The cost to attend is $10, or $5 if you bring three non-perishable food items to donate.

Saturday, April 29 – YPWeek:  Burnout Brunch

After the Crazylegs Classic and the craziness of YPWeek, join us for a brunch at HotelRed! Brunch will be a buffet-style, and the price will be $25 that will be paid directly to HotelRed. We will have our own reserved room and will showcase pictures of the YPWeek during the brunch on the projector. This will be a great chance to interact with YP'ers that you've met during the week! Reserve your spot for free - pay on-site.

Saturday, April 29 – Service Event:  FixIT Clinic

Everyone On Madison is a DANEnet project to help low-income households get affordable internet access, computers and the skills to use both. Our volunteers will provide very basic computer troubleshooting experience to people that bring in their PCs and laptops.  That might include running anti-virus or disk cleanup software, or showing someone how to store files in the cloud. Please volunteer through their website: http://everyoneonmadison.org/#core-volunteer

Saturday, May 21 – Service Event:  Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home-away-from-home" for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost. We will be preparing and serving a meal at their Madison location at 2716 Marshall Ct.  Due to their kitchen size constraints, they recommend that we cap our attendance at 12 people.
