Join our work party at the UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve! We'll help to serve its mission of managing undeveloped Lake Mendota shore land to preserve its natural character and provide educational opportunities. We will remove invasive woody shrubs, collect seeds for later planting, put wood chips on trails, or cut brush from trails. Tools and gloves are provided. |

On July 7th, "service above self" means hitting the ball overhand! Come support Rotary Youth Exchange at our "Serve the World" volleyball tournament by bringing a team, volunteering as a ref, or just cheering on your fellow guests and Rotarians. The Tournament will be from noon to 6pm. Registration will be $60/Team. |

Books for the World is a global literacy project, supervised by Rotarians, that puts used books from the United States that might otherwise be discarded into the hands of children in other countries where educational resources are in short supply. They offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. |

Fetch Wisconsin’s mission is to rehome and rehabilitate at-risk dogs. It started in 2013 with 4 volunteers and has now grown to a volunteer base of 800! Volunteers foster and transport dogs, coordinate fundraising events, and support the vision of Fetch to create a society in which every dog is valued and provided proper care and compassion. In their first year, they reached 100 adoptions and they are on track to hit 1,500 adoptions this summer! Join us to hear about the great work this organization is doing in our community. |

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization in the U.S. that provides disaster relief and preparedness education. They run blood drives across the country and work to collect more than 13,000 blood donations each day to meet the need for patients at about 2,600 hospitals and transfusion centers. Incredibly they do all of this with a workforce comprised of about 90% volunteers. Join us at our meeting to learn more! |
