Since July 2018, the SKYGEN International Foundation has been working in some of the poorest areas of Tanzania, Africa, providing free vision testing to over 163,000 people (many of whom had suffered with poor vision for their entire lives) and distributing more than 29,500 pairs of corrective eyeglasses. We’ve arranged screenings at over 319 schools and 158 community clinics. With prescription eyeglasses and the ability to see clearly, the lives of adults and children can be transformed. The fact is, a pair of custom glasses has the power to change a life and make every day richer.

Books for the World is a global literacy project, supervised by Rotarians, that puts used books from the United States that might otherwise be discarded into the hands of children in other countries where educational resources are in short supply.

Habitat ReStores are independently owned reuse stores operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations that sell home improvement items to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in local communities and around the world — a good deal for you, your community and the environment.
