Nancy Cruz was born and raised in Tulare, California, and also lived in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. She received her bachelor’s degree in European History with a focus on late-modern Europe from the University of California, Berkeley. Post-graduation, she worked as a business immigration paralegal for two years in San Francisco, California.

Nancy moved to Madison to attend the Univerity of Wisconsin Law School and has volunteered with the local non-profit Centro Hispano’s Juventud program, mentoring Latinx middle school students. She will be staying in Madison to pursue a career as a civil litigator with the firm Michael Best & Friedrich. Nancy hopes to build a community with the local Rotary clubs and is looking forward to seeing how she can contribute to the Madison community.
