Greeting Friends and Rotarians!

A big thank you to everyone for putting awesome energy into this year's YP Week!  We cosponsored three very successful and impactful events, and helped to raise over a thousand dollars to construct Little Libraries with HYP!  Thank you to everyone that turned out, and check out the event photos below!

It's not too late to register for Tri-Con Rotary District Conference in Wisconsin Dells coming up this weekend!  Email me or our club email for details on carpooling or sharing a room.  (We've reserved a two bedroom condo.)  Then join us on Sunday as we welcome Sharyl Kato from The Rainbow Project and hear about their initiatives to provide restorative healing and hope for young children and their families who have experienced trauma!

Finally, please take our member survey this month!  We'd greatly value your input on our club direction as we plan our leadership transition and look ahead to next year!

Thank you for everything that you do!
Mac
2017-2018 President

Top 5 Reasons to Go to District Conference in Wisconsin Dells
Our Rotary Tri-Con District Conference is coming up fast on May 4-6 in the Dells!  Our club has booked a Two Bedroom Deluxe Condo at The Glacier Canyon Lodge as a club meeting place or for any members that still need a room.

Here are the top five reasons not to miss out! -

1.  Build connections!

After Hours Clubs from La Crosse, Madison, Chippewa Valley, and Mequon-Milwaukee at Tri-Con 2015

District Conference is the perfect place to connect and share experiences with other clubs across the state, such as the three other After Hours Clubs from La Crosse, and Chippewa Valley, and Mequon-Milwaukee!

2.  Share ideas!

In addition to educational seminars like "Rotary Friendship Exchange: India 2018" and "Working Effectively with Volunteer Teams," many breakouts will give clubs a chance to share project ideas and success stories with each other!

3.  Get Inspired!

There are a whole slate of inspiring speakers planned!  For example, during Friday dinner Dr. Marilyn Fitzgerald will discuss sustainability and microfinance projects and the $475,000 grant to support a blood bank that she authored after leading a Rotary GSE Team to Bali, Indonesia!

4.  It's only $20!

Conference registration is only $20, and that covers everything except meals and hotel.  Our club has also reserved a two bedroom condo that sleeps up to seven for Friday and Saturday night, as a club meeting place or for any members that still need a room.

5.  It's in the Dells yo!

When we are not engaged in soul-expanding personal growth, you might also find us at a swim-up bar or riverside patio.  As always, the Rotary conversations will continue After Hours!

For details on carpooling or to reserve a spot in our reserved condo, email Mac or our club email!
