The Problem: The average student-to-counselor ratio is 482:1, leaving many students little guidance in deciding what to do after high school and, if college is their desired path, how to navigate the process. Misconceptions around the cost of college, standardized tests, and more present additional barriers to accessing college. The Solution: Fair Opportunity Project provides comprehensive information and resources on all aspects of the college application process in order to improve understanding of and access to college, particularly for students from low income and rural areas. Join us on Sunday as Carole Trone shares the work that The Fair Opportunity Project does to empower students with access to affordable college! Their initiatives include creating some of the highest-quality college application and financial aid guides and resource tools available, which they send to every public high school in America--for free! |
