Hi all!

 

We have an exciting few weeks ahead of us with multiple YP Week events, our Forward Madison FC game social, and service events at Second Harvest, Books for the World, and the Lussier Center food pantry.  I want to thank our members who have been hard at work planning these great events for our club.

 

One event in particular I’d like to highlight is the Madison Mixtape event – hosted by our club in collaboration with Connect Madison.  This is an event dedicated to celebrating Madison’s local hip hop culture.  There will be multiple hip hop artists, dancers, and slam poets!  If that alone wasn’t enough to sell you, the event is FREE and is being hosted at the super cool Robinia Courtyard.  This will be a great time to socialize, listen to fun music, and introduce our club to many new people that may not have heard about our club yet.

 

Also, this is the last call for tickets to our Forward Madison FC game social on Saturday, May 4^th.  Please let us know by this Saturday if you plan to join us.  Tickets are $25.

Tuesday, April 23^rd  – Service Event: Second Harvest Foodbank

Second Harvest is southwestern Wisconsin's largest hunger-relief charity.  We will help sort, package, and label bulk-purchased food. Sign up by emailing us at madisonrotaryah@gmail.com.

 

Come out and celebrate Madison's local Hip Hop culture at the Robinia Courtyard on April 26. We will have an evening of hip hop artists, spoken word, hip hop dance, poetry slam, and more!

 

Books for the World is a global literacy project, supervised by Rotarians, that puts used books from the United States that might otherwise be discarded into the hands of children in other countries where educational resources are in short supply. Join us as we sort and pack books at the Wright St. warehouse!

 

Forward Madison FC is Madison's 1^st professional soccer team in their inaugural season.  We'll be cheering them on in their second home match vs. Toronto FC II at the historic Breese Stevens Field.  Email us at madisonrotaryah@gmail.com if you'd like to RSVP by this Saturday. Tickets are $25.
