President's Message
Hi all,
We're all set for our Saturday Volleyball tournament to raise money for Rotary Youth Exchange! Feel free to stop by to hang out or cheer us on!
Then on Monday, please join us for a follow-up Club Planning Meeting to discuss next steps for implementing the event ideas that we were most enthusiastic about at our April Meeting. Many of our members are excited about a future Kids Against Hunger event, and a future Wine Tasting fundraiser, and possible event partnerships with other Young Professionals clubs. Let's discuss how to make these happen!
Our Youth Exchange student Brayden will arrive from Thailand on the 23rd. Thank you to Brad and Adam and Erin and everyone in our club that has helped to coordinate logistics and to fundraise for his experience!
Finally, please try to sign up for at least one Ironman shift on the weekend of September 9th if you have time. We are trying to commit to at least 15 shifts to qualify for a club grant. Please list our club name as you register here. -
Thank you for everything that you do for our club and our community!

Welcome Ryan!
Ryan recently joined Rotary at the end of 2022 and is looking forward to becoming more involved in the club while also serving as Secretary for the 2023-2024 year. Ryan works for BMO, leading the governance and oversight of approximately one-half of the enterprise’s outsourced item processing activities for the US and Canada. Ryan is definitely no stranger to the Madison area. He has attended Badger football games for over 20 years with his family (they’ve been season ticket holders that whole time too!), attended undergrad at UW-Madison where he graduated in 2015 with a double major in Finance and Management, and decided to move back permanently in 2021. Prior to joining Rotary, Ryan was completing his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In his free time, Ryan enjoys giving back to the UW-Madison community where he serves as a mentor for Madison Business Mentoring, helping prospective Business School students navigate both their freshman year as well as the application process in the spring. Ryan also loves to travel both domestically and internationally and has visited two continents and twelve countries, downhill ski, spend time with friends and family, and cheer on all of our wonderful Wisconsin sports teams.
Volunteer for Ironman Wisconsin
Join in the fun as we volunteer for Ironman Wisconsin. The half Ironman will be on Saturday, September 9th, and the full Ironman will be on Sunday, September 10th, but you can get a shift in as early as September 7th helping with athlete registration and check-in. Please be sure to note when signing up that you're volunteering with the Rotary Club of Madison-After Hours!
Join us each month when we volunteer at the Lussier Family Education Center's food pantry. Our shift is the second Saturday of each month, 10:45 am-12:15 pm. Click below to access our sign-up sheet.
