Hey everyone, We had such a great visit from our District Governor Karen Hebert last week. I am sincerely grateful for her inspirational words as she spoke with us as a board and a club. It's been a challenging year and many clubs face many of the similar concerns we have. We are resilient, we are dedicated and I have no doubt that we will come out on the other side of this crazy COVID filled year together in both fellowship and service! For those of you that were not able to join our meeting, I want to share an exciting announcement. I have accepted a position in central Wisconsin as a Chief Operating Officer for a federally qualified health center. I'm beyond excited as this gives me the opportunity to lead a team who serves our underserved population, ensuring they have access to healthcare. This does mean I will be moving away from Madison next month, however, I will still be down here every other week for our meetings and I will still be serving as your club president. I am going to ask for your help and support. As you know, we currently are without a president elect. If you are interested in serving and helping me lead the club this year and becoming president next year, I would gladly accept the help! A few housekeeping items from our meeting. We still need volunteers for the Iron Man event in order to be eligible for the $500 grant. Please see the link on the calendar to sign up and remember to let them know you are with the club so we can get credit! On October 22nd GiGi's Playhouse Madison is hosting a gala and in need of volunteers and items for their auction. Please see the calendar for more information on how to sign up to volunteer or donate. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I hope to see you at our next club meeting! Yours in service, Liz Parizo Club President 2021-2022 |
