Rotary After Hours Club Newsletter 3.17.21 (Mar 17, 2021)

Exciting updates ahead -

If you missed our last meeting or the previous newsletter, you'll want to check out the details of our upcoming meeting this week. Rather than being a Sunday Night meeting like usual, this meeting will be during Brunch to accommodate our guest speaker who will be coming to us from Ukraine! The meeting will start at 10:00am, but we'll have our normal social at 9:30am.

We've also cancelled our first meeting in April due to Easter weekend. Our second meeting, on April 18th, will be our second attempt at a combination in-person and Zoom meeting. If you'd like to join us in person, we'll be meeting at our normal venue, The Park Hotel on the Capitol Square.

On a side note, if you'd like to be a member to a Rotaract member in the biology/pre-medicine area OR you'd like to sponsor a student who's looking to learn English, from Panama in May, please let me know.

Join us on Sunday morning to hear from a member of a Rotary Club in Ukraine and the work they are doing on a global grant.

Wednesday, March 25th- Social Event: Wine Tasting

Madison Club, 5 East Wilson Street, Madison, 6:00pm - 12:00pm

Sign up to socialize, taste some cheeses, and more importantly some amazing wines. Space is limited and costs $37.50 per person. Contact Connor or Erin for more information on how to sign up.

Saturday, April 10th- Service Event: Lussier Food Pantry

Lussier Community Education Center, 55 S Gammon Rd, Madison, 11:45 am- 1:00 pm

Volunteer with us at the Lussier Community Center Education Center food pantry. Four volunteers are needed to work from 11:45 am- 1:00 pm. Sign up here or email madisonrotaryah@gmail.com Please keep an eye on the club calendar for any changes or cancellations.

Saturday, April 17th- Service Event: Book Packing

Wright St. Warehouse, 1849 Wright Street, Madison, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Volunteer to help the Madison West Town Rotary Club in their effort to put reading materials into the hands of children in other countries where educational resources are in short supply.

Space is limited to 12 people.

Sunday, April 18th- Club Meeting: How to Work Together When You Can't be Together

22 S Carroll St. Madison or Zoom Meeting, 6:30pm - 8:00pm (Open social 6:30 - 7:00pm, Meeting 7:00 - 8:00pm)

Join us for our first partially in-person meeting at the Park Hotel on the Capitol Square to hear from a fellow Rotarian on working together when you can't be together.

Sunday, April 18th - 24th- District 6250 Conference
