President's Message
Hi all,

Happy World Polio Month!  I hope that most of you can join us this Monday as our Rotary District Governor Michelle McGrath discusses her goals for our District and her personal journey with Rotary!

As an update regarding our Kids Against Hunger meal packing event, we have reserved the dining room at the First Congregational United Church of Christ on University Avenue near campus on Saturday, March 16th as the venue for this event.  At this time, we are asking our club members and friends in our network to help us to recruit volunteers and organizational partners and corporate sponsors to help is to have a large and impactful event.

And thank you to everyone that has continued to fundraise toward Rotary Youth Exchange!  We are currently on track to meet our fundraising targets for this year.  Please stay tuned as we will likely be seeking volunteers to sell Bucky Beads at the October 28th Ohio State Badger game once that game time is announced.

Thank you for everything that you continue to do for our club and our community!

Mac

Stories
Happy World Polio Month!
October 24th is World Polio Day, an opportunity to build awareness around our continued efforts to permanently eradicate polio globally!

Since 1988, two of the three wild poliovirus (WPV) serotypes (types 2 and 3) have been eradicated, and global WPV cases have decreased by more than 99.9%, and at this time, endemic transmission of wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) is only occurring in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

But the fight is still far from over!
