Hello fellow Rotarians,
Here we are in April...finally. The last few weeks have had more than enough changes to our daily lives, along with all the lows and highs those changes entail. The fear and anxiety seems just as contagious as the virus. Cancelled vacations, closed restaurants and cafes, and social distancing are affecting every one of us. Meanwhile, Rotarians are more inspired than ever to do all we can to help our communities. Clubs throughout our district continue to help those in need, from making face masks, to filling Little Libraries, to helping our local food pantries.
Our club continues to adjust to these new circumstances, too. We’ve had several virtual hang-outs, including a coffee hour, happy hour, and brunch. Our meetings for the month of April will be virtual on Zoom. We are applying for a district grant to help a start-up company in Waunakee, Partita, secure the supplies they need to continue 3-D printing face shields for healthcare workers and first responders. Also, keep an eye on our social media as we team up with other young professional organizations in Madison to post volunteer opportunities, how to give and get help, and self-care during the month of April. Rotary’s ability to empower us during these uncertain times keeps my days a little brighter, and I hope yours, too.
I’m looking forward to seeing your lovely faces on Zoom! Until then, sending you good vibes for health and safety.

Club President 2019-2020
