President's Message
As we settle into fall, I’m grateful for the energy, generosity, and fellowship that make our Rotary club such a special part of our community. One of the best things about Rotary is that we don’t just make a difference through service—we have fun doing it together! Whether we’re volunteering at community events, supporting our fundraising efforts, or simply enjoying time with fellow Rotarians, these shared experiences strengthen our friendships and remind us why we belong. Thank you to everyone who gives their time and talents to make our club successful. As we look ahead to the months to come, I encourage each of you to stay engaged, invite others to experience Rotary, and keep finding meaningful (and fun!) ways to put Service Above Self into action. I’m proud to serve alongside you!
Please give a warm welcome to our newest member, Dora! Dora E. Zúñiga serves as the Donor Guidance Director for Project Amigo. Her career has always focused on helping children achieve their highest potential. She has previously served as the CEO for the Madison WI Big Brothers Big Sister chapter, served as Director of Leadership Giving at United Way and began her career as the Executive Director for Centro Hispano. She is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been an active Rotarian since 1994, including the Rotary Club of Madison and the Rotary Club of Tampa.
Enjoy the pre-game atmosphere and join us in selling red and white beaded necklaces to football fans on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 4:30-6:30 pm. The forecast is for partly sunny in the mid 60's, so perfect fall weather. Please email Erin (erinmluken@gmail.com) if you can make it. All proceeds will be used to support our Kids Against Hunger event in February.
Rotary belongs to its members, and every club has a voice in shaping its future. The annual Council on Resolutions gives Rotary districts worldwide an opportunity to share ideas and influence the direction of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.
The 2026 proposed resolutions are now available for review. District 6250 clubs are encouraged to read the proposals and share their perspectives with our district representative, PDG Edwin Bos.
What is the Council on Resolutions?
The Council on Resolutions is Rotary’s annual online forum for considering formal requests for action by the Rotary International Board of Directors or The Rotary Foundation Trustees. Resolutions may recommend new programs, policy reviews or further study of issues affecting Rotary. Adopted resolutions are forwarded to the Board or Trustees for consideration.
How is it different from the Council on Legislation?
Council on Resolutions: Meets online annually. Adopted resolutions request action or consideration by the Board or Trustees.
Council on Legislation: Meets in person every three years. It considers enactments that can change Rotary’s constitutional documents and become Rotary law.
Discuss them with your club. Consider which proposals could benefit Rotary and its members.
Share your feedback. Send your club’s comments and recommendations to Edwin Bos at edwin@bosdesignbuilders.com by October 23, 2026. Edwin will represent District 6250’s perspectives.
