Hello everyone, I wanted to share with you all that I will be stepping down as the Madison After Hours president. Unfortunately, the long drive to run the club meetings in person on Sunday evenings (I don't get home until after 10 PM) and the demands of my new role are just too difficult allow me to continue serving the club. At this time the board has decided to share the duties of president among themselves. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to run a meeting (or help in any other way), please feel free to connect with anyone on the board. Did you hear? We finally have a vendor for Pints for Polio this year - Headquarters in Oregon, WI!! The event will take place on Monday, 11/15 from 11:00 am until close. For every pint of beer they sell, they’ll be donating $1 to Rotary International's End Polio Now Campaign which will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Upcoming Events Saturday, November 13th - Service Event: Lussier Food Pantry Lussier Community Education Center, 55 S Gammon Rd, Madison, 10:45 am- 12:00 pm (note the time change for this month) Volunteer with us at the Lussier Community Center Education Center food pantry. Sunday, November 21st - Club Meeting: BSP Free Clinic6:30pm - 8:00pm (Open social 6:30 - 7:00pm, Meeting 7:00 - 8:00pm) Wisconsin has over 160,000 uninsured residents, approximately 25,000 of those living in Dane County alone. And while low income, uninsured patients receive some care at free clinics, many conditions require the expertise of a specialist. BSP Free Clinic provides no-cost specialty care to uninsured, low-income patients, allowing the care needed to be healthy, contributing members of our Wisconsin community. |
