Greetings fellow AH Rotarians, I hope everyone has been having the chance to be out to enjoy the long days and late sunsets of these days so near the solstice, the summer may yet come to be hotter, but it cannot be any brighter than it is now. Well, we seem to have come to the end of another Rotary year. Monday's meeting will be the last of my current tenure. I hope as many members as possible will be able to attend, since we have a rather important issue to discuss, that is our dues going forward. A few weeks ago, Travis shared with us a view of the club finances, noting both our anticipated expenses (and everything, including RI dues, is getting more expensive), and our club income from member dues. He showed scenarios with our current dues level, with a $10 per quarter increase, and with a $20 per quarter increase. We want to keep our club as affordable as possible, but we do not want to leave ourselves at risk of not being able to meet our commitments. I welcome all input, and if you are not able to attend, please send me your comments and I will bring them forward at the meeting. Since the first Monday of July falls just a day before Independence Day, we will have no club meeting. And since there will be no additional meeting before the next Lussier food pantry weekend, please check your calendars for availability, as we could use a few more volunteers for that event. Please join us this coming Monday, 19 June, at the Park Hotel, or on zoom, at the usual times, 5:15 for the social and 5:45 for the meeting, to hear about the rehabilitative program at Horizon High School. |
