I'm thrilled about the energy and the new members that we have as we begin our new Rotary year!
We have a full month this month, including a "Concerts on the Square" social this Wednesday and an invasive plants cleanup service event this Saturday. I hope many of you can join us! On Wednesday, the music starts at 7:00, but feel free to come early and find us any time after six. We'll have blankets laid out and some snacks and wine available.
At our club meeting next Monday, we'll be learning about a Madison Breakfast Rotary Club project to build portable libraries in Guatemala. I think that will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about the sorts of partnership and travel opportunities that our club could plan.
Please share and promote our August 5th Volleyball tournament! We are still looking for teams, and anything you can do to share our Facebook events and posts can help with that!
This year, my biggest personal goals are for us to: (1) have an event calendar that we are excited about, and (2) have events that we are excited to tell other people about. As long as we keep doing that, then I think we'll have an exciting future ahead of us!
