Hello fellow Rotarians,

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer so far and taking advantage of these long days to enjoy doing things that are important to you, whether that's catching up with friends and family, taking in a beautiful sunset, reading a new book, or anything else that refreshes your spirit.  I know that many of our members are very busy with new babies, new jobs, career advancements, and new homes - congratulations on these big achievements!  Our club calendar has a little bit of breathing room for the next few weeks before things really ramp up in the fall with many opportunities to participate, including Bucky Beads during football season and Pints for Polio in October.

Our speakers this Sunday are from the group ImaBridge Africa and the Rotary Club of McHenry, Illinois.  IBA's pursuit of a Global Grant, sponsored by the McHenry Club, is for the provision of clean water through the establishment of a water production facility.  IBA's varied projects are in the areas of health, education, clean water, and micro finance in their communities.  This should be an ideal meeting to bring a guest to, as they can get an idea of some of the more ambitious global projects that we, as Rotarians, make happen.  (Plus, you'll be one step closer to winning the President's Challenge!)

See you on Sunday,

Erin Luken
2019-2020 President
