Greetings, As we discussed a few times during our meetings over the past few weeks, August is our club's time to focus on the future. During our last club meeting, we heard from our new District Governor, Bill Pritchard, about the challenges and focus that all Rotary clubs are facing during this time. We also heard that our club has continually been among some of the best clubs due to our passion, drive, and fun-loving spirit. Our upcoming (in-person) meeting is focused on continuing all of the previous positive work, focusing on what we want the future of our club to look like. From the projects we take on, the volunteer opportunities we offer, to the socials we host, this meeting will help shape the next year of our club. We'll be meeting at Observatory Hill near Washburn Observatory on the UW Campus to discuss these topics, so don't miss this meeting! There will also be a Zoom option for anyone unable to attend in-person. We are also still looking for 1 other person who would want to volunteer at Second Harvest this weekend. If interested, let Brad Matthiesen know. As always, if you have any speaker suggestions, volunteer opportunities, or socials you'd like to see, please let me know! Best, Connor Sheedy Club President 2020-2021 |
