Greetings fellow AH Rotarians,

 

And, I guess, welcome to spring time. The equinox arrives this Monday, at 4:24PM, just before our next gathering. The event is often called the official start to spring, although I don't know which office or official would be charged with such a determination. Nonetheless, the days are getting longer and the sunshine, even on a chilly day, lets its power be known.

 

Only five weeks left before the Tricon convention in LaCrosse, a good opportunity to meet a number of Rotarians from some not too distant clubs. and to hear the from the selected speakers.

 

As I mentioned at the last meeting, but forgot to bring the details, there will be a webinar series on the subject of Cultivating Effective Projects. The seminars will take place every other Thursday at 10 AM, starting this coming Thursday, March 23. This Thursday's topic will be Promoting Projects: Tell Your Story. Subsequent sessions will cover Planning a Project (on April 6), Finding Project Partners and Resources (on April 20), Measuring Results (on May 4), and Expanding your Reach (on May 18). If we hope to become more involved in project work, this series seems particularly well timed. I plan to attend several. Information on the series can be found here. 

 

And on the subject of projects, let me mention that in our April 3 meeting, we will be holding a planning meeting, an open discussion on the projects that we would like to see taken up and on the direction of the club overall. Please make every effort to attend that day and please come with your ideas and questions to be ready for a hopefully lively session.

 

Please join us also at the more imminent meeting on Monday, March 20 at the Park Hotel or on zoom at the usual times, 5:15 for the social and 5:45 for the meeting. We will hear from our own Brenda Weiss speaking about Rotary Youth Protection.
