Welcome to another issue of our biweekly bulletin! Find out who our upcoming speakers are, what our club members are up to, and when to join us in service and fellowship!

President's Message

Hi all,

I hope you're all able to join us at the Midtown Police Station on Monday for another Working Meeting orchestrated by our club planning committee. We had several great conversations last month around our committee structure and upcoming events!

Then on August 24th we'll be having our charity volleyball tournament at Ten Pin Alley to raise money for Kids Against Hunger. There is still time to volunteer to play, and we would also love to have one or two more volunteer referees. Please email me at mac_dempsey@hotmail.com if you have interest in joining us for even part of that day between noon and 6:00.

Don't forget to register for one or two Ironman shifts if you haven't yet over the weekend of September 7th and 8th! In addition to being a great community event, our club can also qualify for a $500 grant if we work 15 shifts, and at this time I believe that our members have volunteered for about ten.

Brad and I both have conflicts with our normal Food Pantry volunteering on September 14th, so at this time we have not yet committed to staff that shift. Let's continue to converse about our future priorities and our overall bandwidth in our upcoming meetings.

Serve the World Volleyball Tournament 2024

Join us for a Coed Volleyball Tournament at Ten Pin Alley in Verona on Saturday August 24th, from noon to 6PM!

Registration is $60 per team. All proceeds will be donated to Kids Against Hunger to prepare and distribute meals to impoverished people in the U.S. and abroad!
