Global Grant in Peru

We're pleased to have Gary Tree from the Rotary Club of Mt. Horeb as our speaker this evening. Gary will be telling us about a Global Grant that he has been leading in partnership with the Rotary Club of Curacavi in Chile, a rural community about 50 km from Santiago. This project will provide local trash compaction for the community's waste (cardboard, yard waste, household waste, plastic containers). The outcomes include a reduced carbon footprint and operational costs, as well as better air quality and local management of the environment. Our district will be supporting the project with a significant amount of DDF which comes in part fom the members' of our club's generous support of The Rotary Foundation.
